Foreign Office updates live - Dubai, Cyprus, UAE travel advice and warnings

The Foreign Office has issued a series of warnings and alerts over the past few days amid ongoing "regional tension" in the Middle East. Popular holiday hotspots such as Cyprus, Dubai and the wider United Arab Emirates have all had new alerts added amid "regional escalation." The sub heading is currently on multiple Foreign Office pages alerting British nationals to read the 'if you're affected by crisis abroad guidance' on the Government web page, as well as following advice from the local authorities. Other advice includes staying away from areas around security or military facilities, keeping departure plans under review, and making sure your travel documents are up to date. The Foreign office adds: "If you are advised to take shelter, stay indoors or find the nearest safe building or designated shelter. An interior stairwell or a room with as few external walls or windows as possible may provide additional protection."
