The OnePlus 15T is looking more and more impressive

The forthcoming OnePlus 15T is looking less and less like a compromised ‘almost-flagship’, and more like a compact power house. We learned last week that the OnePlus 15T was officially “Coming Soon”, though we’re sceptical of its chances of a wider release. That’s a shame, because it’s shaping up to be a spectacular phone. OnePlus China President Li Jie Louis has been posting some intriguing snippets of information to Weibo , including news of a new zoom camera. It seems the OnePlus 15T will feature a new and improved periscope telephoto lens with “significant improvements in optical hardware, algorithms, and tuning, resulting in clearer distant shots and more atmospheric portraits” (via machine translation). iPhone-beating bezels Despite this more substantial zoom camera, the executive claims that the company has managed to control the OnePlus 15T’s thickness and weight, though no measurements are listed. In a subsequent post , the same OnePlus high flyer revealed that the OnePlus 15T would feature uniform and extremely slim bezels, measuring less than 2mm on all four sides. It’s claimed that these could be the narrowest bezels of any small smartphone. OnePlus Though no rivals are named, the post includes a close-up picture comparing the OnePlus 15T’s tiny display bezels with those of the iPhone 17 Pro . OnePlus has apparently been able to achieve such slim bezels because it owns its own screen production line. It has also produce a new chip-level packaging process, while the executive also mentions “a series of groundbreaking screen packaging technologies”. Previous reports have pointed to a phone with a 6.32-inch 165Hz AMOLED display and a frankly ridiculous 7,500mAh battery. It’s looking less and less like a cut-down version of the OnePlus 15 and more like a compact alternative.
