Ferdowsi scarred - Tehran street sees extensive damage following reported airstrike

"Ferdowsi Street in the Iranian capital Tehran was seen bearing huge damage on Tuesday following reported airstrikes the day before. Footage shows extensive destruction to buildings on the street, as well as the Iranian flag flying above the rubble. In a package published on this site on Monday, crowds of people were seen running for their lives. Locals were seen dragging an injured person on a stretcher, with another body lying motionless on the ground, glass and bloodstains in a blown-out cars and body bags seen piled up in the streets - with one woman overcome with grief. There were no confirmed reports of exact numbers killed at time of publication. The US and Israel first attacked Iran on Saturday morning, with airstrikes continuing on Sunday and Monday. Tehran said it was responding with strikes on Israel and US assets in the region, with strikes reported in countries right across the Gulf region. The US side confirmed six deaths of military personnel on Monday. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was confirmed dead in a strike on Saturday. It comes after a number of rounds of talks between the Americans and Iranians."
