"UAE Minister of State for International Co-operation Reem Al-Hashimy said the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) was 'indivisible', during a media briefing in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. "The United Arab Emirates believes that the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries is indivisible and that any threat or attack targeting any of them is considered a threat or an attack on the collective security of the Council countries," she stated. Al-Hashimy continued that any violation of the sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates or any Gulf country would not go unanswered, emphasising that the UAE does not compromise on protecting its sovereignty. “A secure future cannot be built by force alone, but through dialogue, vision, and shared aspirations for a more prosperous future,” she added. Brigadier General Abdul Nasser Mohammed Al-Humaidi, spokesperson for the UAE Ministry of Defence, said the Emirati Armed Forces - with their operational experience, high level of preparedness, and advanced capabilities - have demonstrated their ability to respond decisively and immediately to any aggression or attempt to undermine national sovereignty. He reaffirmed the armed forces’ readiness to defend the country’s territory and population, regardless of the duration or intensity of regional escalation. The UAE Ministry of Defence announced that it had intercepted 11 ballistic missiles and 123 drones on Tuesday. It added that one rocket landed within UAE territory but caused no casualties. The United States and Israel launched joint strikes on Iran on Saturday, with US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowing to 'destroy Iran’s missiles'. In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had launched 'large-scale missile and drone attacks' against Israel. Reports also indicated that US bases in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq, and Kuwait were targeted."
