"Air raid sirens were heard in Tel Aviv in the early hours of Wednesday morning after projectiles were seen passing over high-rise buildings in the Israeli city. Iran and Hezbollah, based in Lebanon, have been launching missile attacks on Israel intermittently following the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. This comes after Israel and the United States launched joint airstrikes across Iran since Saturday, hitting sites they said were linked to Tehran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programmes in a bid to eliminate what they described as “existential threats.” At the time of publication, at least 780 people had been killed across Iran, according to the Iranian Red Crescent. As hostilities mount, air traffic across the Middle East has ground to a halt in several countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates."
