"Protesters gathered in Nigeria’s Niger State on Tuesday to demonstrate against US-Israeli attack on Iran. Footage shows demonstrators rallying in the streets, holding banners and chanting in support of Iran. "We are out to show our disapproval of the attack carried out by the American-Israeli forces on the Islamic Republic of Iran, thereby killing our Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, May Allah grant him peace," said Usman Zubairu, one of the leaders of the groups marching. "To show our concern and our support for Iran, and to stand in solidarity. We do not agree with the genocide that America is committing against other nations," said attendee Amina Muhammad. Zubairu also noted that innocent schoolchildren were killed in the strikes, after the strike on Minah girls' school which reportedly left at least 165 dead. "Now, we say 'No' to this attack. We show our disapproval. And also we are out to show our support and solidarity for the Islamic Republic of Iran and to show the whole world that what they have done is not in accordance with any of the laws of the world." Local police authorities deployed security personnel across parts of the state to prevent potential security threats during the protest. The US and Israel attacked Iran on Saturday morning. Tehran said it was responding with strikes on Israel and US assets in the region, with explosions reported in countries right across the Gulf region. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was confirmed dead in a strike on Saturday. It comes after a number of rounds of talks between the Americans and Iranians."
