At least 481 Afghan Taliban fighters have been killed and 696 others injured during ongoing engagements under Operation Ghazb lil Haq, according to Information Minister Attaullah Tarar. In a post on X, Tarar said that 226 check posts were destroyed, while 35 posts were captured during the course of the operation. In addition, 198 tanks, armoured vehicles and artillery guns were destroyed, the figures claimed. He further maintained that 56 locations across Afghanistan were effectively targeted through air operations as part of the ongoing military campaign. In an operational update on Tuesday, the minister said at least 67 Afghan Taliban fighters were killed during the skirmishes. One soldier was martyred and five others wounded in the clashes, he added.
