Islamic minister orders completion of arrangements for Eid prayers across Saudi Arabia

RIYADH — Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh has directed the ministry's branches throughout the Kingdom to complete all the necessary procedures and arrangements in preparation for the Eid Al-Fitr prayer. The minister also instructed imams to hold the Eid Al-Fitr prayer 15 minutes after sunrise according to the Umm Al-Qura Calendar. The minister’s directive aims to ensure that mosques are properly prepared and that worshipers can perform this religious ritual in a structured and spiritually charged atmosphere. The directive emphasizes that Eid prayers will be held in designated Eid prayer grounds, as well as in mosques across the Kingdom, with the exception of mosques adjacent to Eid prayer grounds and those in rural areas that are not frequented by worshipers. The minister emphasized the importance of properly preparing Eid prayer grounds in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, and operational readiness. This directive reflects the ministry's commitment to the proper maintenance and operation of mosques. The directive also stipulated that if Eid falls on a Friday, imams must lead the Friday prayer at its usual time in addition to the Eid prayer.This directive reflects the ministry's commitment to creating a suitable environment for worshipers throughout the Kingdom, demonstrating the wise leadership's dedication to serving Islam and Muslims in the best possible manner.
