SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won is set to take part in U.S. tech giant Nvidia Corp.'s annual technology conference for the first time this month, industry sources said Thursday, as the two firms expand ties in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector. Chey's visit to Nvidia GTC 2026, which will kick off March 16 for a four-day run in California, comes about a month after his meeting with Nvidia Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jensen Huang in Silicon Valley to discuss potential AI collaborations. The GTC is an annual conference hosted by Nvidia, where the U.S. tech firm introduces updates in the technology sector, encompassing AI chips, robots and autopilot. Nvidia is widely expected to introduce its next-generation AI platform, Vera Rubin, during the upcoming event.
