ISLAMABAD: In a positive development, nine Pakistani sailors were successfully transferred from their ship to Bandar Abbas. Six others, however, chose to remain on board of their own volition, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran Mudassir Tipu disclosed this on Wednesday on his X (formerly Twitter). Officials confirmed that the evacuated sailors are being sent to Pakistan on Wednesday. Speaking to some of them over the phone, authorities inquired about their well-being and assured them of continued support. Expressing deep gratitude, the official highlighted the crucial role played by Counsellor Khalid Tashfeen and Shahid Kashmiri, who facilitated the evacuation despite considerable challenges.
