MANILA, Philippines — The country’s inflation rate rose to 2.4 percent in February from 2 percent in January, the Philippine Statistics Authority reported on Thursday. The uptrend in the overall inflation in February was primarily influenced by the faster increases in the average prices of heavily-weighted food and non-alcoholic beverages. The index for this basket increased to 1.8 percent during the month from 1.1 percent in January 2026.
