"A hospital in Israel's Ramat Gan has relocated all of its operations underground to emergency facilities designed to handle a surge of casualties during escalations in the region. Footage shows an exterior view of the Azrieli Cardiovascular Tower of Sheba hospital that connects to a network of tunnels where six fully equipped emergency rooms operate, including general, pediatric, oncology, ENT and eye units. Guy Peer, an ER Logistics Manager at the hospital, explained that around 100 patients can be accommodated in the new setup, with space for another 150 ambulatory patients. “Our ability is essentially to provide a response to every problem that arrives here, to every patient who arrives here. We have all the doctors here who can provide end-to-end service," Peer said. Sirens continue to wail through the city, alerting citizens to take shelter. "Everyone here is calm in a secure and protected place, and we have all the services here," he added. Peer said the underground facility allows patients to receive comprehensive care without moving between different ERs. Imaging services, including CT and X-ray, are available on site, and a transport logistics team ensures smooth movement of patients. The hospital is part of Israel’s preparations amid rising tensions with Iran, offering a secure location for urgent medical care in the event of regional escalation."
