The OnePlus 15T is getting a “massive battery”

The OnePlus 15T has been confirmed to feature a ginormous battery, dwarfing that of its big brother and plenty of rivals to boot. It’ll also get even faster charging. It has been widely speculated that while the follow-up to the OnePlus 15 will be a smaller phone, it’ll pack an even larger battery. Now OnePlus executive Li Jie Louis has confirmed that it will be a whopping 75000mAh in a fairly lengthy Weibo post . “Our goal is simple: small-screen flagships shouldn’t compromise on battery life”, he explains (via machine translation), before confirming that the OnePlus 15T would pack “a massive 7500mAh Glacier Battery”. As the OnePlus executive says, this isn’t just big for a compact phone – it’s “even stronger than most large-screen flagships”. The OnePlus 15 packs a 7300mAh cell, which provides some of the best battery life we’ve ever seen in a smartphone . It’s made possible by Silicon-carbon (SiC) technology, which even Samsung is still not using in the flagship Galaxy S26 range . We also get confirmation of the OnePlus 15T’s charging provision, which will incorporate support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Once again, eclipsing what you get from Apple, Google, Samsung and others. Bypass charging will also be supported, which will mean that you can keep on gaming whilst the phone is plugged in, and it won’t get uncomfortably hot. Mattias Inghe Li Jie Louis didn’t stop there. He followed up with a post revealing that it would run the full gamut of waterproofing certification: so IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. As we noted recently, the OnePlus 15T is looking more and more impressive ahead of its Chinese debut, which is seemingly imminent. Recent teasers from the same OnePlus executive have revealed a new and improved periscope telephoto lens and super-thin bezels. We’re also expecting a 6.32-inch 165Hz AMOLED display. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that a Western release is on the cards , but last year’s OnePlus 13T was a China-only launch.
