"Locals in Tel Aviv were seen entering a bomb shelter on Thursday as air raid sirens sounded across the city following a fresh wave of ballistic missiles launched from Iran toward Israel. Footage shows residents moving quickly into a shelter as the warning sirens echo through the streets. Residents reported hearing loud explosions throughout the day, largely caused by Israeli air defence systems intercepting incoming projectiles. At least one missile reportedly penetrated Israel’s defence systems and struck an open area, though no casualties were reported from the impact. Some operations at nearby Ben Gurion Airport were briefly halted in the morning as a precaution during the missile attacks. Israel’s Home Front Command and emergency services said that since the conflict with Iran began on February 28, at least 12 civilians have been killed and more than 1,000 people injured in Israel. The country has faced increased threats following Hezbollah’s entry into the conflict from neighbouring Lebanon, which the group said was 'in retaliation' for the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. On March 3, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz authorised the Israeli military to seize 'strategic positions' inside southern Lebanon. Israeli forces have since carried out strikes on several villages in southern Lebanon, as well as additional air raids targeting Beirut’s southern suburbs. The escalation follows joint US-Israeli attacks on Iran that began on Saturday morning. Tehran said it responded with strikes targeting Israel and US interests across the region, with explosions reported in several Gulf countries."
