'They invaded, brutally killed women and children' - Dozens condemn US-Israeli op in Iran outside US Embassy in Seoul

"Braving winds and rain, dozens rallied outside the US Embassy in Seoul on Thursday, condemning the ongoing US-Israeli operation against Iran. Footage shows protesters chanting such slogans as ‘Stop invasion’ and ‘Arrest warmonger Netanyahu’ as they marched through the streets of the South Korean capital. Many carried signs with messages, including ‘No war on Iran’ and ‘We condemn the United States for its illegal invasion’, among others. “Israel and the United States invaded Iran and brutally killed women, teenagers, and children,” one of the protesters, Jung Me-ju, commented. “It was prohibited under international conventions, yet it was carried out. I feel great anger about the indiscriminate killing.” “War can never be justified, and it should end as soon as possible. The United States and Israel's illegal invasion of Iran is wrong. Khamenei is a dictator, but it is the citizens who should remove him. If foreign armies go in and carry out bombings, it only destroys Iran’s democracy instead,” another protester, Shin Hyun-joon, said. The United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran on February 28. Tehran responded with strikes targeting Israel and US assets across the region, with explosions reported in several countries across the Gulf. The escalation followed several rounds of talks between American and Iranian officials aimed at addressing tensions over Iran’s nuclear programme. Tehran has always insisted its nuclear programme is peaceful, while the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, confirmed that there is no evidence of Iran planning to build nuclear weapons."
