It’s end of the road for Sony’s PC games

Sony’s PC ports have not sold well. As a result, Sony has decided to stop porting its games to PC, according to a report by Bloomberg . The company is also worried that selling its games on PC could impact the Sony PlayStation 5 and the games on that platform. Multiplayer online games, however, may still appear on the PC. Sony maintains a list of its own games that have been ported to the PC , with the opportunity to buy them from storefronts like Steam and the Epic Games Store. Those games include the rebooted God of War , Days Gone , Horizon: Forbidden West , and the Spider-Man series. However, Sony’s decision will apparently split a series in two: Ghost of Tsushima will remain on PC, but the sequel Ghost of Yotei will be a PlayStation exclusive. However, GamesIndustry.biz reports that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Kena: Scars of Kosmora are both still scheduled for PC ports, likely making them the final Sony games to arrive on PC. It’s a big change. Just a few months ago, there was talk of Sony allowing consumers to buy a single game, then receive ports on both the PS5 and PC as part of the purchase. Apparently, Sony’s goal of making its games ubiquitous has ended, too, a few years after the PlayStation Plus service allowed you to play PlayStation games on your PC . Sony declined to comment to Bloomberg.
