Jake Tapper delivered a pointed monologue on The Lead on Wednesday night in the aftermath of a fiery clash between White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt and CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins earlier in the day. During the clash, Leavitt accused Collins of being disingenuous and doubled down on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s claim that the media only reports on the death of U.S. troops to make Trump look bad. “That’s a fact,” Leavitt claimed.
