'We continue his legacy' - Supporters mark 13th death anniversary of Hugo Chavez with Caracas rally

"Hundreds of people rallied in Caracas on Thursday to commemorate the 13th death anniversary of former Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez. Footage shows a group of Venezuelans heading towards the Cuartel de la Montana, also known as Cuartel 4F, the mausoleum where the remains of Hugo Chavez rest. "For me, he is like our Jesus of Nazareth here on earth. I believe God placed him here like that giant so that he could perform miracles. Because he was the one who awakened us and made us visible," a local remarked. "We continue your legacy, my Commander," another added. "Thanks to you who made women visible, thanks to you who gave the opportunity to the people, who opened the eyes of the people [...] with him the homeland is secure and the homeland today with our leader is secure." Hugo Chavez died on March 5, 2013, at the Hospital Militar Carlos Arvelo in Caracas due to cancer, which he fought for nearly two years while leading Venezuela. The commemoration comes after the military incursion of the United States into Venezuela at the beginning of January, when they captured President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores."
