Pink scooters to be distributed on 8th: Sharjeel

KARACHI: Senior Minister of Sindh and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said that this initiative of the Government of Sindh is part of a broader plan to provide women with safe, independent, and environmentally friendly transportation facilities. In his statement, he said that under the programme, selected women will be provided with electric scooters free of cost. Along with the scooters, beneficiaries will also receive proper training in road safety and scooter riding to ensure safe commuting. He further stated that the Pink Electric Scooters Programme is an important step toward women’s empowerment and mobility. The initiative will not only enhance women’s independence but will also contribute to the promotion of eco-friendly transportation in the province. Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon added that the Sindh government remains committed to introducing innovative and women-friendly projects in the future to further strengthen women’s participation in social and economic activities.
