CEBU CITY, Philippines — Water service disconnection occurs once a customer’s bill remains unpaid for one month, according to the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD). Minerva Gerodias, MCWD information officer, said the policy is part of reforms to improve collection efficiency and prevent large unpaid balances. The revised disconnection policy took effect on October 1, 2025, following announcements made through MCWD’s official website, social media platforms, and traditional media outlets before its implementation.
