'Not slowing down' - CENTCOM claims US forces hit 3,000 targets in week one of 'Operation Epic Fury'

"The US Central Command (CENTCOM) released new footage on Saturday purportedly showing its forces striking Iranian military targets, as the conflict in the Middle East enters its second week. CENTCOM shared the video in a post on X, writing: "US forces have struck over 3,000 targets in the first week of Operation Epic Fury, and we are not slowing down." The exact date and location of the footage could not be independently verified. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Friday that Washington expects to complete its Operation Epic Fury objectives within 'four to six weeks.' She also claimed that US forces sunk over 30 Iranian vessels, declaring Iran's Navy 'combat ineffective.' Tensions escalated in the Middle East after the United States and Israel launched joint military operations against Iran on February 28, with President Donald Trump vowing to "raze their missile industry to the ground". Tehran said it was responding with strikes on Israel and US assets in the region, with explosions reported in countries right across the Gulf region. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was confirmed dead in a strike on Saturday. The escalations follow three recent rounds of nuclear talks between Iranian and American officials, one held in Muscat and two in Geneva."
