The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration on Saturday said that Northern Luzon will be hit by the northeast monsoon or “amihan”. In its morning bulletin on Saturday, the weather bureau said that Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with rains, Apayao and Mainland Cagayan will have cloudy skies with light rains, while the Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains. Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country is expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the easterlies.
