Embassy memorial - Images of Iran’s late leader Khamenei displayed in Paris amid 40-day mourning period

"Photographs of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei have appeared outside the Iranian embassy in Paris this week, as Iran officially observes 40 days of mourning following his death in US-Israeli airstrikes last weekend. Footage shows images of Khamenei plastered on a gate and bushes surrounding the embassy, as well as photos of the victims of the strikes on Tehran and flowers. It comes after the United States and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran last Saturday. Tehran later announced retaliatory strikes against Israel and US assets across the region, with explosions reported in several Gulf countries. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was later confirmed killed in a strike on Saturday. The escalation followed several rounds of nuclear talks between Iranian and American officials."
