Cloudy Sunday in Luzon due to amihan, easterlies – Pagasa

/ MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies are expected in Luzon on Sunday due to the effects of the northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” and the easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said. In its 5 a.m. advisory, Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres bared the areas affected by the two weather systems. “The northeast monsoon or amihan affects northern and central Luzon, and easterlies from the Pacific Ocean affect the rest of our country,” Torres said.
