"The remains of six US Army Reserve soldiers killed in an Iranian strike on a Kuwait command centre were returned home in a dignified transfer ceremony on Saturday. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) initially reported three deaths, but the toll rose to six by March 3 after previously unaccounted-for personnel were recovered and one service member succumbed to severe injuries. The soldiers have been identified as Major Jeffrey O'Brien, Captain Cody Khork, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan, Sergeant First Class Nicole Amor, Sergeant First Class Noah Tietjens and Sergeant Declan Coady. Tensions escalated in the Middle East after the United States and Israel launched joint military operations against Iran on February 28, with President Donald Trump vowing to "raze their missile industry to the ground". Tehran said it was responding with strikes on Israel and US assets in the region, with explosions reported in countries right across the Gulf region. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was confirmed dead in a strike on Saturday.
