China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi said India and China should view each other as partners rather than rivals and as an opportunity instead of a threat, calling for stronger cooperation between the two neighbours. Speaking on the sidelines of China’s National People’s Congress, he said ties have improved following recent meetings between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping.
