Georgian Bay rescue: 23 fishermen airlifted after ice floe drifts two kilometres from shore, leaving some partially submerged

Georgian Bay ice rescue: Twenty-three ice fishermen were rescued from a drifting ice shelf in Georgian Bay on Sunday, March 8, after it broke away from shore. The Ontario Provincial Police, along with multiple emergency services, airlifted the stranded individuals to safety. Several suffered minor injuries and hypothermia, but all are expected to recover.
