MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. told officers not to be rude after a Migrant Workers Office (MWO) employee in Bahrain was ordered to be investigated for reportedly “disrespecting” Filipinos abroad seeking assistance. In a statement on Wednesday, Nartatez said PNP personnel found to be “rude and mishandling any call for [police assistance]” would face consequences, urging the public to report misconduct or inappropriate behavior by officers for investigation.
