MANILA, Philippines — The emergency room of the Pasig Hope Medical Center has been temporarily closed to give way to renovation and expansion works. Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto made the announcement on Monday, March 16. He said the hospital’s outpatient and the physical medicine and rehabilitation departments will operate beginning Monday, March 16. The hospital, formerly known as Pasig City Children’s Hospital, is being upgraded. Sotto said the renovation, upgrading and conversion work covers the entire city hospital. He added that a separate project has also been lined up for the expansion of the emergency room at Pasig City General Hospital.
