Middle East tensions: 68 Filipinos assisted out of Israel – DMW

MANILA, Philippines – A total of 68 Filipinos have so far been assisted out of Israel since the escalation of tensions in the Middle East began, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) reported on Monday. The figure increased after another nine overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) successfully exited Israel through the Taba Border Crossing, the DMW said. “Nine overseas Filipino workers have safely crossed from Israel to the Taba Border Crossing, with the help of the One Country Team comprising the Philippine Embassy in Cairo, Migrant Workers Office and OWWA,” the DMW’s statement read.
