OFW remittances rose by 3.5% in January 2026

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine cash remittances sustained their growth in January after rising 3.5 percent year-on-year, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas reported on Monday. Data from the central bank showed that remittances coursed through banks reached $3.02 billion at the start of the year, up from $2.92 billion in the same month in 2025.
