MANILA, Philippines—Four persons died while another was injured in an accident triggered by a speeding car driven by a 60-year-old woman in Angono, Rizal Sunday afternoon. Police investigators said that one of the victims, a 69-year old homeless woman died on the spot, while the three others, a 15-year old boy, a 23-year old man and his girlfriend died while being treated in the hospital. A 13-year-old boy was also injured but is now out of danger. The incident took place past 1 p.m. along Metro East Road in Barangay San Isidro. Based on the CCTV footage installed in the area, the speeding car hit the motorcycle being driven by the 23-year-old victim who had his girlfriend as passenger. After hitting the motorcycle, the car hit the two teenagers who were buying bread in a bakery store and the homeless woman who was just sitting in front of bakery. The driver of the speeding car was arrested immediately. Charges of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide and serious physical injury are being readied against her.
