MANILA, Philippines — Pasig City will begin releasing the P5,000 fuel subsidy for tricycle drivers this week under the national government’s financial assistance program for public utility vehicle drivers. Mayor Vico Sotto announced on Monday, March 16, that tricycle drivers would be the first to receive the aid, to be followed by jeepney, UV, and TNVS drivers. The city government said the manual payout for tricycle drivers will be held from March 17 to 20 in selected venues. The payout schedule is as follows: • March 17, Tuesday — Purok 3, Pineda Covered Court, Pineda village; Damayan Multipurpose Hall, Pinagbuhatan village • March 18, Wednesday — Purok 3, Pineda Covered Court, Pineda village; Ilaya Multipurpose Hall, Santolan village • March 19, Thursday — Purok 3, Pineda Covered Court, Pineda village; Ilaya Multipurpose Hall, Santolan village • March 20, Friday — Amphitheatre, Kapitolyo village The distribution will be done in two batches daily, from 6 a.m. to 12 noon and from 12 noon to 5 p.m. The city government advised beneficiaries to coordinate with their respective TODA presidents for their assigned schedule and to check the advisory for the requirements they need to bring. Pasig said the payout will be handled by the Department of Social Welfare and Development with assistance from the City Social Welfare and Development Office and the Tricycle Operation and Regulatory Office.
