Thousands take to streets of Iran's Ilam to protest against US-Israeli attacks

"Thousands of Iranians gathered on Sunday evening in the western city of Ilam for the fifth consecutive day to protest the ongoing US-Israeli attacks on the country and mourn the late Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.   Footage shows crowds from various groups waving Iranian flags and marching through the streets while chanting slogans. The date of the footage released by Mehr News Agency could not be independently verified. The US and Israel launched strikes on Iran on February 28. Tehran responded with strikes on Israel and US assets in the region. The conflict soon widened to Israel and Hezbollah trading strikes across the border with Lebanon too. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was confirmed dead in a strike on the first day. His son, Mojtaba Khamenei, was selected as his successor on Sunday.
