"Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz in a video address from Tel Aviv on Monday, announced IDF is aiming to 'destroy the terrorist infrastructure' in southern Lebanon. "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I have instructed the IDF to act and destroy the terrorist infrastructure in the contact villages adjacent to the border in Lebanon to prevent threats and the return of Hezbollah to the area, exactly as was done against Hamas in Gaza in the Rafah areas," he said. Earlier on Saturday, the Israeli army said its forces "completed several additional waves of strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut and southern Lebanon."  "Since the start of Operation Roaring Lion, the IDF has struck approximately 110 Hezbollah command centres," it said. Lebanon has reported 850 dead and more than 2,100 injured since the start of the latest hostilities. The US and Israel launched strikes on Iran on February 28. Tehran responded with strikes on Israel and US assets in the region. The conflict soon widened to Israel and Hezbollah trading strikes across the border with Lebanon too. It has seen soaring worldwide energy prices and the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz - which handles 20 per cent of global oil traffic."
