US manufacturing output rises marginally in February

In February, U.S. factory production experienced a modest uptick, with a notable surge in motor vehicle output. Despite this, the machinery sector faced a downturn. Overall manufacturing output rose by 0.2%, building on a revised increase of 0.8% from January. This industry comprises 10.1% of the economy, and year-on-year, factory production grew by 1.3% in February.
