After more than five years, Apple has updated AirPods Max with its H2 chip, bringing the over-ear headphones in line with features already available on AirPods Pro 2 — including Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, and Live Translation. The company says the new processor delivers active noise cancellation up to 1.5 times more effective than the previous generation. The more substantive addition is wired lossless audio over USB-C, supporting 24-bit, 48kHz playback.
