In a significant move, India's food ministry has greenlit an additional quota of 87,587 tonnes of sugar exports for the upcoming 2025-26 season, responding to demands from sugar mills. These mills are required to complete the exports by June 30, 2026, with those meeting a threshold of 70 percent allowed to ship the remaining sugar by September 30, 2026.
