Haryana government has decided against prosecuting Ashoka University's Ali Khan Mahmudabad for an alleged objectionable Facebook post. The state informed the Supreme Court of this magnanimous, one-time decision, effectively closing the matter. The court, however, cautioned the professor to be more mindful of his future statements given the sensitive nature of such issues.
