MANILA, Philippines — The national government on Tuesday began distributing P5,000 in cash assistance to public transport drivers to help ease the impact of rising fuel prices amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The first beneficiaries are 135,196 tricycle drivers in Metro Manila.
