"A Palestinian boy has described the moment Israeli troops opened fire on his family’s car in the town of Tammun, in the occupied West Bank, killing his parents and two siblings. Footage shows mourners gathering at the family home and funeral, as relatives bid farewell to the victims. Khaled Bani Oudeh recounted the incident, saying Israeli soldiers fired from elevated positions. “The soldiers were standing on the rooftops of ancient buildings and opened fire towards us. My mother screamed loudly, then her voice disappeared. My father recited the Shahada [declaration of faith] and died,” he said. “We went out to purchase stuff for Eid, on the way back, the army attacked us. I quickly opened the door and shouted: People, please come here,” he added. "There were no ambulances nearby. First, they forced us to the ground." Khaled said Israeli forces also assaulted his brother. “When I rushed to protect him, they beat me with an iron baton. An Arab soldier intervened and escorted us away, and asked us to go to the ambulance. So we headed to the ambulance and got treatment.” According to Palestinian media, Ali, 37, his wife Waad, 35, and their four children had been travelling to Nablus after iftar to buy Eid clothing when Israeli special forces opened fire on their vehicle as they returned to Tammun. The parents and two children, Othman and Muhammad, were killed, while Khaled and his brother, Mustafa, survived. Paramedics were reportedly prevented from reaching the vehicle for around 20 minutes. Two injured children were later evacuated, while the bodies of the victims were transferred to the Turkish Tubas State Hospital. According to Palestinian sources, the death toll in the West Bank has risen to 110 since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip, including 43 from Tammun. Violence has surged across the West Bank since October 7, 2023, with more than 759 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces or settlers, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Israeli authorities say at least 26 Israelis have been killed in Palestinian attacks in the territory over the same period. The Israel Defense Forces had not commented on the incident at the time of publication."
