Three is the magic number - China and Vietnam launch '3+3' ministerial meeting on diplomacy, defence, and public security

"China and Vietnam held the first ministerial meeting of the ‘3+3’ strategic dialogue on diplomacy, defence, and public security on Monday in Hanoi to further deepen their partnership. Footage shows the Chinese delegation, chaired by Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong, and Minister of National Defence Dong Jun, meeting with the Vietnamese delegation, chaired by Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung, Defence Minister Phan Van Giang, and Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang, respectively. Wang Yi praised the initiative as the first of its kind, voicing hope that it will enhance strategic coordination between the two countries and promote an equal multipolarity on the global stage. His Vietnamese counterpart, Le Hoai Trung, called foreign affairs, defence and public security ministers to continue efforts in strengthening Beijing-Hanoi political trust and mutual understanding, according to the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry,  Meanwhile, the Chinese Minister of Public Security noted that security cooperation between the neighbours should expand to include areas such as cybersecurity, combating online gambling, and combating telecom fraud. China and Vietnam maintain close bonds, marked by deep economic ties and shared socialist ideology. Last year, the countries celebrated 75 years of diplomatic relations."
