"Joan Laporta celebrated alongside players and staff as he paid tribute to FC Barcelona after securing a historic fourth term as the club's president with a landslide re-election victory on Sunday. Footage shows the squad arriving at the Auditori 1899 at the Camp Nou after the results were confirmed. Club captain Ronald Araujo and midfielder Gavi joined teammates Raphina, Fermin Lopez, and others in congratulating Laporta. "Words of gratitude to this wonderful club that we have in Barca, a club with its members, and its members vote to decide who will represent them. […] This exaltation of Barcelonism is a marvel that we have in our club and therefore, thanks to Barca," said Laporta. "It also gives a special thanks to all the members who have voted, because we are a voting club, and the members have voted overwhelmingly. They have travelled on what was a spectacular day, and it has been for me like a festival of democracy, of civility, and an exaltation of Barcelonism," he added. The 63-year-old also paid tribute to Sporting Director Deco and Head Coach Hansi Flick, following the German manager's treble-winning debut season at the club. Around 42 percent of eligible members cast their votes, with Laporta securing a 68 percent majority over Victor Font. His new term runs until 2031, allowing him to oversee the completion of the Spotify Camp Nou renovation. Laporta previously served as president from 2003 to 2010, a period that included some of the club's most successful seasons. He returned in 2021, overseeing a financial recovery and several coaching appointments."
