"Footage filmed on Tuesday shows rockets intercepted over the northern Israeli town of Nahariya, as Hezbollah continues cross-border attacks amid escalating regional tensions. The video captures two white streaks cutting across the sky before interceptors from the Iron Dome system strike the incoming rockets, producing bursts of smoke mid-air. Nahariya, close to the border with Lebanon, has come under increasing threat since Hezbollah entered the conflict linked to the regional confrontation involving Israel, the United States and Iran. A rocket strike on Monday night hit a residential area in the town, setting homes on fire and wounding civilians. Israeli medics said at least six people were treated at the scene, most suffering from smoke inhalation. Hezbollah said the attack was carried out in retaliation for the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on February 28, during the initial phase of the US-Israeli campaign against Iran. The group had earlier issued evacuation warnings for several northern Israeli towns, including Nahariya. In response, Israeli forces have launched strikes on multiple locations in southern Lebanon, alongside air raids targeting Beirut’s southern suburbs. The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) on Sunday announced that they would be conducting ground operations against key Hezbollah targets inside Southern Lebanon as part of the forward defence mission, providing an additional layer of security for the residents of Northern Israel. The developments come after the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran on Saturday morning. Tehran said it responded with strikes targeting Israel and US interests across the region, with explosions reported in several Gulf countries."
