Once again, the capital is hosting its successful Easter celebration in Mariánské Square. From Friday, March 20, until Monday, April 6, Prague residents and visitors will have the opportunity to experience a pleasant festive atmosphere and buy Easter products from non-profit organizations, protected workshops, and small craftsmen at the markets in the city center. The event will be enriched by a vibrant cultural program, an open-air exhibition of photographs showcasing the most beautiful folk costumes, and a special display featuring traditional Czech attire alongside the Mayor’s Easter Collection. The official opening of the traditional markets, accompanied by a festive program in Mariánské Square, will take place this Friday with the participation of representatives of the capital. Visitors can explore a variety of stalls offering painted Easter eggs, braided Easter whips, ceramics, and textile products. Ten of the stands will be dedicated to social enterprises, sheltered workshops, and local artisans. The market’s offerings will be further complemented by Easter delicacies, beverages, and seasonal spring specialties. Easter in Mariánské Square will also feature a rich accompanying program.
