"EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas claimed there was 'no exit strategy' for Iran - or even for Ukraine - as she appeared before lawmakers at the EU Parliament in Brussels on Tuesday. "Iran is waging war on the world. Its game plan is clear: raise the price of escalation to build pressure for de-escalation. But there are no signs of this war slowing down right now or that there is an exit strategy. So this is true, you know, for the war in the Middle East as well as the war in Ukraine," she said. Earlier Donald Trump said he was assembling a coalition of 'about seven' allies help keep the Strait of Hormuz open - but later posted on social media that he didn't need NATO countries assistance after being 'informed by most of our 'Allies' they don’t want to get involved' in Iran. Iranian FM Abbas Araghchi has said the Strait - which handles around 20 per cent of global oil traffic - "is open to friends and non-hostile countries, but closed to enemies and those who collaborate with them." The US and Israel launched strikes on Iran on February 28. Tehran responded with strikes on Israel and US assets in the region. The conflict soon widened to Israel and Hezbollah trading strikes across the border with Lebanon too. According to the most recent figures, the Iranian side has reported over 1,400 dead, with 13 deaths of military personnel admitted by the US side and up to 15 on the Israeli side. "
