"The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Tuesday it had launched the 58th wave of missile strikes under Operation 'True Promise 4', against US and Israeli-linked targets. Footage released by the IRGC shows missiles being fired into the sky. In a statement, the IRGC said the latest wave struck locations in “the north and centre of the occupied territories, including Nahariya, Beit Shemesh, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, as well as US military bases in the region.” The group added that the operation involved 'high-precision systems', including Khorramshahr missiles with a two-tonne warhead, along with multi-warhead systems such as Fath and Khyber Shikan missiles. These claims could not be independently verified. The developments come amid escalating tensions following joint military operations launched by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28. Tehran has since responded with missile and drone strikes targeting Israeli territory and US assets across the region, with explosions reported in several Gulf countries. During the escalation, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed and later succeeded by his son Mojtaba Khamenei. The conflict has further widened following attacks by Hezbollah on Israel, which the group said were carried out in retaliation. Regional shipping routes, particularly the Strait of Hormuz, have been disrupted following its closure, a key artery through which roughly one-fifth of global oil supplies pass. The escalation has pushed oil prices above $100 per barrel, adding pressure to global markets and triggering protests in several countries."
