India, Pakistan, Morocco, and the Africa Group urged WTO members to commit to a fair and low-cost international financial system for cross-border remittances. Ahead of the ministerial conference, they called for a multilateral framework on transparency, interoperability, and competition in remittance services to reduce costs and promote trade.
