CEBU CITY, Philippines — Rental and usage fees at Fort San Pedro may soon increase. The Cebu City Council has moved to amend a 15-year-old ordinance seen as “no longer sufficient to sustain” the upkeep of the historic landmark. Councilor Nyza ‘Nice’ Archival has endorsed a proposed ordinance seeking to revise City Ordinance No. 2201, series of 2009, which governs the use of the fort’s grounds and facilities, including its open spaces, playground, and nearby parking areas.
