MMDA suspends number coding for Eid’l Fitr

MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will suspend the implementation of the expanded number coding scheme in observance of Eid’l Fitr, the agency said in an advisory on Wednesday. The MMDA said the suspension would take effect on Friday, a regular holiday marking the end of Ramadan. The MMDA said number coding was suspended during official and special non-working holidays. Motorists are advised to plan their trips ahead of the long weekend to avoid inconvenience. Authorities also reminded drivers to observe road safety measures.
